Servpro - POOR Customer Service
As a long-time believer and in Servpro, I was recently displeased dealing with the local franchise representative, Eric Baylor. Poor Mr. Baylor cannot understand the concept of customer service and is primarily interested in abusing insurance companies for the largest payout possible. When I suggested that I pay for services instead of turning a claim into my insurer, Mr. Baylor demanded that I pay $150 in advance for an estimate and $500 deposit for work, although he was clueless to the scope of work needed. Mr. Baylor was comfortable leaving standing water in a basement for nearly a week. Suddenly, Mr. Baylor and Servpro of Kingston, Pittston City, Wyoming County, Hazleton, Dallas and Harveys Lake are not interested in my business. He realized that I prefer not to be violated by his organization.

BAD AFTER-SERVICE COVERAGE

ServPro came out on Oct 26th, 2021 to do an annual "maintenance service" on our home heating system because I called in on a mailed offer. I did not know it was going to be ServPro until they called to confirm the appointment a day before, but since I had only their advertising to go by, I did not see any issues.

A Technician showed up form a Long Island location on the appointed day, and the service appointment went as scheduled.

They collected payment in full on my Credit Card after the work was done. The Tech said everything was good, and that was it,

However, on Nov 19th,'21 (less than a month later) the heating system pilot failed and we lost heat in mid-November, just as it was turning cold. I called ServPro, and they said they did NOT warranty the service, and that it would cost about $165 for an appointment fee, plus about $195/hour for labor, plus cost of parts required to diagnose and fix the heating.

GREAT SERVICE ??... NO.

NO ETHICS AT ALL.

I had to find another tech to come out and fix this. However, I called my bank and stopped their payment.

COMPLETELY CROOKED, SO STAY AWAY.

They did a terrible job for flood cleanup

Do NOT trust ServPro!! They are not truthful regarding their ads.

In the ads, they state that they will get the damaged place back into the condition before the incident (flood, fire, etc.). In a recent basement flood, they did come and put in their equipment to help dry up the basement. They left their equipment here for more than a MONTH! The fans/ blowers were so powerful, they kept tripping the circuits/ switches!

Needless to say, the power kept going out. When they finally came to remove the equipment, they also had to cut pieces of the wallboard to investigate for mold. When they were finished, they had advised that there would be some people to come to fix the wallboards (replace or just repair) and that those people should put the heater back together they had to remove some screws and endcaps to do the cutting. After another week or two of being put off, finally got in touch with the office and they stated that they were finished and that it was up to us to find a contractor to do the final repairs.

They are not helpful or nice about doing a FULL/ COMPLETE job.

DO NOT TRUST SERVPRO!!! They will lie to get your business then walk away without being thorough and leave it up to you to do the rest of their job.

never call serve pro!!!!! my sump pump went out and they trashed my basement, they brought in broken equipment, had extension cords running upstairs because they failed to bring a power box and tore up my basement and walked away . I should have sent them packing when the 1st question out of his mouth was how much insurance do i have. i had 1" of water they cut 2' of dryall drilled holes all around the basement they destroyed drywall paper ripping it. they replaced no drywall, they cut the paneling so it could not be rehung

Servpro did my air duct cleaning on June 16, 2021. They left my ceiling vent hanging open, my electrical units were left turned off and they punctured *** in my air conditioning unit, which was not fixable, therefore, a new unit had to be ordered at my expense. Servpro not doing work as agreed upon

On 6-11-21 Servpro met with me at my property at 1127 Bellevue Ave Syracuse NY 13204 where inspection was done by Servpro and agreement was made between Servpro and myself for entire service that Servpro is to be providing at my property. After inspection and agreement was made Servpro began doing work at my property on 6-11-21.

Three employees began doing work. Friday afternoon fans were left running. Monday morning two employees returned to my property and continued work. They had stated that the third employee with Servpro took the day off.

Tuesday morning four employees arrived from Servpro and continued work. Wednesday Servpro did not show up to property. Early Thursday morning a inspection was done by Scott Rockwell/Rockwell Indoor Environmental. Scott Rockwell spoke with me about work that has been done so far by Servpro.

Scott stated that Servpro has been working very slowly and that Servpro should have had a lot more work done by now that has currently not been done. He stated certain things should have been done already by Servpro that would take less than two hours to remove odor from property and other work that should have been accomplished by now.

As of this date property still has a strong odor because of work not done by Servpro that should have been completed already. I am hoping that Servpro gets the work done in full immediately that they stated would be done to make sure my property is a healthy and safe place to live.

My insurance suggested them for remediation and restoration and the experience has been a nightmare. My second floor was taken apart, and afterwards was told they couldn't put it together for three months and to go to Home Depot for my floors. I had to hire someone to rebuild the walls and I'm still looking for a floor man.style="background-color: Neither the insurance nor Servpro is in a hurry to go, my home. I called corporate and I'm waiting to see what happens.

Flood damage

Very unprofessional. It's been 4 months and still not finished and this is a simple job. Called up and wanted a check but never sent a bill and hadn't finished the work. We made arrangements to pay the full amount anyway and now they don't care if they finish the job.

Unnecessary damage

After having minor water damage from a leaking well tank valve, It was recommended by a former insurance agency to call ServPro. Eventually they came and said, "Don't go in the basement until the job is finished. There's a possibility of asbestos in the basement. Followed their instructions EXACTLY. They ended up removing ALL the paneling, carpeting and light fixtures in the ceiling. My basement was Finished with 3 separate rooms. They then proceeded to do the same in the entire basement plus they Disconnected the washing machine and Dryer causing yet ANOTHER leak. I have PICTURES of EVERYTHING. Thank You for your Site. Sent letter with pictures first time, second time online. The reason for no response is : 1. The employees stealing the customers items in large amounts( including money, gold,diamonds,shoes,coat,social security card,checkbook,medical records, prescription medications,contact lenses) is standard operating procedure. 2. Doing a poor job with employees having no idea what they are doing is standard operating procedure. 3. Telling customers massive lies with deceptive actions for a scam is standard operating procedure. TO MANAGEMENT THE ABOVE IS NORMAL-so there is no problem to resolve or comment on.STAY AWAY!!!!

Charged over 21000 for my house fire was 1 room of demolition and was to take belongings from house and clean all. Only cleaned some and flat out told us they didnt clean some things like a couch 10 tubs of holiday stuff and more got stuff back yesterday unboxed 2 things and one is broke and scratched to *** cant wait to see what else is wrong

Hi, Wendy I am not angry at you just frustrated. Rick was a liar and useless. Rick Hampton of the Victor Valley office has the inventory and took all my tools from the garage fire I had to be cleaned and returned. When Rick returned my tools there is about $5000 in tools missing an d he said would continue to look for them. About that time in Oct, I was recovering from cancer surgery that was removed from my lungs, so at that point this was not that important. I never thought about getting a police report. I thought Servpro would do the right thing find my tools and return them. So, if I do a police report, should I say that Servpro stole them? lost them? gave them to somebody else? Thank you Don

Destruction of entire finished basement with no justification.

Hired Serv - Pro as recommended by someone I was talking to about fixing a leaking well tank valve. I was advised not to enter the basement because of asbestos exposure. Since I left the rear basement door, they could enter and leave as necessary. Not only did the GUT the entire basement and the 3 separate areas, they moved the clothes drier and created another leak. They also removed all the ceiling tiles, wall paneling and all of the carpeting.

ServPro did more damage than the limited water damage. ServPro is easily the reason water damage costs are so high.

They were very destructive. They were tearing my house apart when I challenged them if they were finding any water damage and they said no so I suggested it might be a good time to stop being destructive.

ServPro used nothing but unskilled ‘kids’ to destroy a home IMO. I would not use them ever again
